I believe that my election to the Board will be an asset to the industry. I strongly believe that the strata industry needs to promote its professionalism and ethics. However more often than not, strata managers are not recognised as professionals. Perhaps this is due to the fact that some strata managers don't behave professionally and have a complete ignorance of the SCA (NSW) code of Ethics. It pains me to see that some of us put ourselves down and in doing so, bring the level of this industry lower as well.

My contribution to the Board will be to devote some of my time to changing the image we Strata Managers portray to the community at large. We are knowledgeable professionals and clearly my vision is to receive the same amount of respect solicitors and doctors are given and be able to charge a respectable fee for our services. This can only be achieved with continuous efforts from all of us to ensure that we promote our ethics and professional approach to Strata Management when dealing with our daily tasks.
