There are many career options in the strata and community title industry. The main ones are licensed Strata Managers and registered Strata Managers. The difference between the two is the level of qualification.
Registration as a Strata Manager with the NSW Office of Fair Trading requires completion of 3 units of competency from the CPP3037 Certificate III Property Practice (Operations).
To qualify for your license as a Strata Managing Agent, you need to complete the Certificate IV Property Practice (Operations).
SCA currently offer training which entitles you to apply for registration as a Strata Managing Agent.
This short course is for people wishing to work in the strata industry as a Registered Strata Managing Agent.
The Certificate of Registration course contains classroom instruction, group activities and take-home assessment tasks. You are required to attend 31 hours of classroom based instruction. The assessment tasks and projects are expected to take you a further 30 hours to complete.
The Certificate of Registration course is competency based and consists of 3 units of competency from the CPP3037 Certificate III Property Services (Operations).
The course is nationally recognised training. You will be issued with a Statement of Attainment on successful completion of the units of competency.
Recognition of Prior Learning and Recognition of Current Competencies is an assessment process that is available to applicants who have many years of experience within this or similar industries. If you think you may be eligible, click here to find out more about this specific process.
